Cagri Hakan Zaman

Cagri Hakan Zaman, is a lecturer at the Department of Architecture and the coordinator and research leader of MIT Virtual Experience Design Lab. He explores various dimensions of spatial experience focusing on the social, cognitive and computational aspects of human everyday activities. His dissertation "Spatial Experience in Humans and Machines" offers an investigation into the spatial experience from the story understanding perspective. At virtualXdesign, Cagri leads multidisciplinary research on immersive experiences and supervises the development of transmedia projects at the intersection of design, science, and engineering. 

Cagri holds a Phd (2020), Master of Science in Architecture Studies (2014) and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (2014) from MIT, B.Arch (2009) and a Master of Science in Architectural Design Computing (2011) from Istanbul Technical University.
