Mark Hernandez Motaghy

Mark Anthony Hernandez Motaghy (pronouns they/him) is an artist, researcher, and community organizer. 

They are one-half of the spatial practice If So Then, where they're exploring alternative models of spatial production focused on working and playing together. Operating with mediums such as experimental video and animation, as well as books, installation, and oral histories, Mark's current practice explores the poetics of commoning, care-based economies, and sociotechnical imaginaries.

Mark is the author and compiler of the book Rehearsing Solidarity, published by Thick Press, archiving how mutual aid group's fought back against state failings and experimented with social and digital infrastructures to meet community needs.
